T.V grade 10, review of the Expo.

‘This Wednesday, May 19th, at Academie de la Capitale, I witnessed the annual PYP expo. Students from the grade 6 class each presented very informative topics about social media. I could tell that each student put hard work and effort into his or her presentation and I learned many new things. One student, in particular, caught my attention with his presentation about how the media can affect the mental and physical health of children. It was a very eye-opening presentation. I learned that even though the media has its benefits, there are many unhealthy side effects caused by the media. I thought it was great that he raised awareness on this issue, especially nowadays given that everything is online. Another presentation that I thoroughly enjoyed was about how the media can alter and manipulate how society perceives gender. This presentation was very well done. The main speaker had great fluency and the topic was something that I have always been interested in. The media certainly is a huge factor in influencing gender roles, and it was a presentation that many of us could relate to. I found it very impressive that, even though they are only in grade 6, the students talked about mature topics with great knowledge and preparation. Overall, there was a great turnout with almost the whole school attending the zoom link and everyone was participating and engaging with the presenters. It was nice to see everyone come together and watch these amazing presentations’.
