Last week was the annual Acadecap Science Fair. This year, the Science fair was held virtually.
Students, teachers and parents appreciate the great work done by our judges :
– GARRY M. LINDBERG:
Project Manager of the CANADARM (Space Shuttle Attached Remote Manipulator System) (1974), Director of the National Aeronautical Establishment (Division of the National Research Council) (1979), Vice-President at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), Vice-President & Chief Scientist/Engineer of the CSA (1995). Dr. Lindberg was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2017 for his contributions to Canadian achievements in space, notably for his role in the Canadarm and astronaut programs. He holds a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Cambridge, England.
– ARVIND CHHATBAR:
Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Enablence Technologies Inc., an optical chip company he took public in 2005. He was responsible for a number of technology spin-offs and also created networking organizations such as Indo-Canada Ottawa Business Chamber (ICOBC) as well as re-skilling programs for engineers and scientists when he was instrumental in creating Vitesse Reskilling Canada Inc. He also served on the Board of Governors of Carleton University. He holds an M.A. from Carleton University and an MBA from University of Ottawa.
