During Math class this week, the activities in the math book were about chess. To get into the right mindset, we played chess in class. Playing the game helped the students remember the rules and ensure that they were still familiar with the game. Some of the activities in math class included figuring out how to get checkmate on a started game, and guessing the correct pieces in a game based on their position on the chess board. As a group, they wrote on the board and solved the problems together. The students liked chess so much, that they even played it during snack time!
