How do I register for your camp?

To register for our camps download the registration form and enter the information. You can mail it, fax it, or deliver it to us to ensure your child’s spot.

Is there a registration deadline?

We encourage parents to register by June 1, however, we accept campers throughout the summer, space permitting.


What are the camp hours?

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Pre and Post supervision allows drop-off from 8:00 a.m. and pick-up until 5:30 p.m. The fee for AcadeCoders Campers is $25 for 5-day weeks and $20 for 4-day weeks.


What happens during camp?

Below is a general daily schedule for AcadeCoders. Periods may be subject to change:

8:00 – 9:00 Camper’s Arrival
9:00 – 9: 30 Introduction and Ice Breaker / Previous day recap
9:30 – 10:30 Guided Coding (Experiment, Art, Brainstorm related to camp)

Jiu-Jitsu on Monday or Wednesday

10:30 – 11:00 Snack Time and Outdoor Play (weather permitting)
11:00 – 12:15 Experiment and Work Time
12:15 – 13:00* Lunch and Outdoor Play (weather permitting)
13:00 – 13:45 Whiteboard and Problem Solving  (discussing the problems on the whiteboard or chalkboard, solidify concepts)
13:45 – 15:15 Work and Play time (Working on code or taking a break by playing games, can continue problem solving)
15:15 – 16:00 Snack Time followed by project/activity end of day wrap-up
16:00 – 17:30 Camper pick-up time

*Weather permitting, campers will go to the splash pad on Fridays for guided outdoor activities/games during the lunch period and return to Académie de la Capitale for afternoon snack at 15:15. The AcadeCoders may opt to return to Académie de la Capitale before this time if they still have projects to complete.


What is your instructor to camper ratio?

Our instructor to camper ratio for AcadeCoders is 1 to 8, along with a student volunteer.


Are your instructors trained in First Aid?

We require all of our instructors to be trained in Emergency First Aid and CPR.


What does my child need to bring?

During Coding Hours (labelled with name) :

1) Laptop & Charger (optional as we provide computers for camp use)

2) Headphones (optional)


Overall Camp Necessities (labelled with name):

1) Lunch (Unless they are taking part in the Lunch Program for the week). For campers taking part in the lunch program, please bring your own container and cutlery.

2) Two snacks for the two designated snack times

3) Water

4) Hat

5) Running shoes

6) Appropriate summer attire

7) Sunscreen (To be applied before the camp and during)

8) Swimsuit & Towel (Morrison Park’s Splash Pad)


Are the children on the computer all day?

No! Although many of our activities are computer based, our campers have frequent breaks, an hour and half period of outdoor time everyday (weather permitting),and practice Jiu-Jitsu once a week.


When is hot lunch and who provides it?

Hot lunches (healthy main course including a vegetable side dish, fruits, and dessert) are provided from Tuesday to Friday by Dial-a-Chef. Did we mention that Chef Erick used to teach at the Le Cordon Bleu? The lunch program, including pizza Mondays, is $55/week. Children registered in the lunch program will need to bring their own containers and cutlery.


Can I order pizza everyday?

No. Pizza is only served on Mondays at cost of $5/slice.
