This year, as part of the Metabolic Processes Unit, the Biology 12 students completed the 2020- 2021 Ottawa University Science and Innovation Challenge. Their job was to write a research proposal tackling a question related to aging and health span optimization. Our students chose to look at Diabetes mellitus Type 2 and the age-protective effects of the “klotho” protein.
