Technical Writing in Grade 12 Writer’s Craft

On March 2, 2020, during our Writer’s Craft course, we had the opportunity to learn from Claire Stott, a technical writer in the engineering department at NAV Canada. Throughout the informative session, she taught us about the meticulous process that is writing. Organization, precision, and clarity all need to work cohesively throughout her profession for matters to work smoothly. This workshop showed our class that so-called “simple” exercises, when analyzed deeply, are the most complex tasks. Try writing a clear and thorough instruction on how to make a peanut butter sandwich, to someone who has never done it before! Our answers varied! M.V.
