Virtual AcadeCamp: Registration is Open!

It’s a go! Virtual AcadeCamp is ready and open for registrations.

This summer, AcadeCamp will look different than past summers. We will be doing our learning over Google Meet, and have a 9:00am to 2:00pm schedule. Campers will have snack breaks, as well as body breaks between activities. Moreso, once a week campers and coders will join to participate in Jiu-jitsu.

At the end of each day, campers are given an optional task that extends their learning. Campers may choose to complete this task that afternoon and return the next morning to share their independent learning.

To communicate, campers will be given an acadecap.org email account for camp purposes only. All our learning activities will be posted weekly on our private Padlet page that is only accessible by a shared link.

If you are looking for more information, I encourage you to visit our Virtual Summer Camps webpage and read the FAQ. You can find this information at: http://www.acadecap.org/virtual-summer-camps/

Spots are limited, so we highly encourage you to register your child soon.

We can’t wait to see you this summer!

About The Author

My name is Shannon Neill and I am currently the Grade 1/2 teacher at AcadeCap. I began my teaching career in 2017 after graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor’s of Education, specialized in French Immersion Pedagogy. Since my first year of teaching, I have been working with Grade 1 and 2 students, from Montreal, to Winnipeg, and now Ottawa, where I have been with AcadeCap since 2018. Working with students in Grade 1 and 2 is definitely something special. The students are curious, honest and so willing to learn and share - I consider myself pretty lucky to be able to learn from my students every day!
