It’s a go! AcadeCoders is ready and open for registrations.

This summer, AcadeCoders will take place via telelearning. Coders will receive an acadecap.org email address to communicate with their counsellors, and participate in live Google Meet learning experiences between 9:00am and 2:00pm. Coders will have snack breaks, as well as body breaks between activities. Moreso, once a week, coders and campers will join to participate in Jiu-jitsu.

On Friday afternoon, coders will have a project showcase to display what project they worked on over the course of the week.

Using their acadecap.org email, coders will have access to a Google Drive folder with information about the coding programs required and troubleshooting information in case of any issues with software.

If you are looking for more information, I encourage you to visit our Virtual Summer Camps webpage and read the FAQ. You can find this information at: http://www.acadecap.org/virtual-summer-camps/

Spots are limited, so we highly encourage you to register your child soon.

We can’t wait to see you this summer!

About The Author

My name is Shannon Neill and I am currently the Grade 1/2 teacher at AcadeCap. I began my teaching career in 2017 after graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor’s of Education, specialized in French Immersion Pedagogy. Since my first year of teaching, I have been working with Grade 1 and 2 students, from Montreal, to Winnipeg, and now Ottawa, where I have been with AcadeCap since 2018. Working with students in Grade 1 and 2 is definitely something special. The students are curious, honest and so willing to learn and share - I consider myself pretty lucky to be able to learn from my students every day!
