This week, students at AcadeCamp have been busy learning about Pat Lipsky. Inspired by her paintings, campers learned about arrays and multiplication, along with number patterns and sequences.
Below is a picture of an “Array City.” Each building has windows using different arrays to express a multiplication number sentence.
Using the Fibonacci sequence, students set out on a nature scavenger hunt to find the pattern in nature. Some campers even used the sequence to write a poem!
