Summer Day Camps
Learning Never Stops at Academie de la Capitale! Every summer, we open our doors to students of all ages by offering various summer educational camps for families in the Ottawa region:
Our AcadeCamp Kinder (children aged 4-5) and AcadeCamp (children aged 6 – 9) camps are bilingual i.S.T.E.A.M. summer camps and AcadeCoders Jr. (children aged 8 – 10) and AcadeCoders (aged 11+) are our Robotics and Coding camps.
Our camps combine indoor learning activities and outdoor play. Every day programming includes campers of all ages participating in a specialized Athletik programme, focusing on various independent and group sports skills each week. Campers also play games, take part in team building activities, and enjoy a supportive environment where they can learn skills, build confidence, and develop through teamwork, creativity, and discovery.
The day camps operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (except on holidays), with a morning and afternoon supervision option that allows for drop offs as early as 8:00 AM and pickups as late as 5:00 PM. We offer Monday pizza and Tuesday-Friday lunch options as well.

This summer, young explorers will blast off into an unforgettable adventure through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with a cosmic twist! Campers will step into the shoes of astronauts, engineers, scientists, and inventors as they investigate the mysteries of space. From astronaut training and rocket launches to colonizing new worlds, decoding starlight, and imagining the future of space travel, every week is packed with hands-on experiments, creative projects and collaborative challenges.
Campers will build their curiosity, scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and creative innovation, while designing projects inspired by the wonders of the universe. Each age group is supported with activities that suit their stage of learning, helping young participants create, discover, and grow in a hands-on setting.
AcadeCoders Jr. is a top coding camp and STEAM camp for kids ages 8-10, introducing young learners to coding, robotics, and technology through interactive activities and projects. With 8 unique weeks, each session offers focused learning goals and a take-home final project, blending summer camp fun with outdoor physical activities. Tailored to different skill levels, this camp sparks creativity and problem-solving, making it an ideal choice for parents seeking a hands-on summer learning experience in Ottawa. Campers can build new skills and improve through coding, robotics, collaboration, and outdoor activity.
AcadeCoders brings an advanced coding camp and STEAM camp for ages 11 and up, diving deep into science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Campers master coding and robotics while enjoying our enriched Athletiks sports program and outdoor activities. What ages are eligible for your summer camps?
AcadeCap summer camps cater to kids ages 4 to 11 and up. AcadeCamp Kinders serves ages 4-5, AcadeCamp targets ages 6-9, AcadeCoders Jr. is for ages 8-10, and AcadeCoders is designed for ages 11+. Each camp offers age-appropriate STEM and coding activities to spark creativity and skill-building.
Are your summer camps only for students who attend AcadeCap school?
No, our summer camps are open to everyone, not just students enrolled in AcadeCap programmes! Kids from across Ottawa and beyond are welcome to join our STEM camps and coding camps at 3448 Richmond Rd. Whether your child attends our school or not, they can enjoy a summer of learning, creativity, and fun with us. Our camps welcome families seeking an Ottawa summer camp experience that blends academic enrichment with bilingual learning.
How much will AcadeCap summer camps cost in 2026?
Pricing for our Ottawa summer camps 2026 varies by programme and week. AcadeCamps costs $340 per 5-day week or $272 per 4-day holiday week, with a discounted full 8-week rate of $2,325. AcadeCoders is $375 per 5-day week or $300 per 4-day holiday week, with an 8-week total of $2,565.
Optional add-ons include the SMILE literacy program (4 weeks, $990), pre/post-camp care ($55/5-day week, $45/4-day week), and the lunch program ($65/5-day week with pizza, $55/4-day week). What are the daily hours for your summer camps?
Our summer camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 3448 Richmond Rd., Ottawa. We also offer optional early care starting at 8:00 AM for $55 per 5-day week or $45 per 4-day week, and late care until 5:00 PM for the same rates, providing added convenience. Details will be provided during registration for your STEM camp or coding camp session.
What’s included in the catered lunch program?
Mondays are Pizza Day where campers can choose between cheese or pepperoni, freshly made by Milano’s Pizza. From Tuesday to Friday, lunches are catered by Dial-a-Chef, featuring a diverse and delicious menu prepared by Erick, a French chef and former instructor at Ottawa’s Cordon Bleu school. Erick has been providing AcadeCap students with lunches for over 20 years, including during summer camp. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

What is the SMILE program at AcadeCap summer camps?
The SMILE program (Systematic Multisensory Intensive Literacy Education) is an Orton-Gillingham-based add-on for kids with reading and writing difficulties, available during weeks 4-8 of our Ottawa summer camps. It includes 45-minute daily sessions (4 days during holiday weeks) for 4 weeks minimum ($990), using visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile methods to boost literacy skills alongside STEM camp or coding camp activities. Pre- and post-testing is provided if needed—perfect for a well-rounded summer learning experience!
Are your coding camps suitable for beginners?
Yes! Our coding camps, AcadeCoders Jr. (ages 8-10) and AcadeCoders (ages 11+), welcome beginners and experienced coders alike. These Ottawa coding camps introduce kids to programming and robotics with adaptable sessions, culminating in take-home projects. No prior experience is needed, just a curiosity for tech and summer learning!
Do campers need to bring their own devices for coding camps?
No devices are required! AcadeCap provides all necessary equipment for our coding camps and STEM camps, including computers and robotics tools. Our team helps each camper get set up in a safe and organized way. However, campers are welcome to bring their own devices if they prefer, giving them flexibility while ensuring everyone can fully participate in the summer camp activities.

All our summer camps take place at AcadeCap International School, located at 3448 Richmond Rd., Ottawa, Ontario. This convenient spot in Ottawa’s west end offers a vibrant space for STEM camps, coding camps, and outdoor activities, making it an ideal summer camp location for local families.

Our summer camps Ottawa 2026 schedule will feature 8 weeks of week-long sessions running from late June to August. Families can choose between AcadeCamp, our bilingual i.S.T.E.A.M. camp with hands-on exploration, space-themed projects and creative challenges, and AcadeCoders, our coding and robotics stream for campers interested in technology, problem-solving and interactive projects.

OSSD Credit Course registration for 2021 is ongoing.
We chose ACADECAP for a variety of reasons, many of which are unique to this school. We like that extracurricular activities like Jiu-Jitsu and Violin are simply part of their school day, leaving evenings and weekends for family time. We feel that the small class size makes a big difference in our children’s learning experience and allows for a more individualized approach. We appreciate having before and after school care at the school, which minimizes disruption to everyone’s day. The hot lunch program offered through the school is amazing and demonstrates yet another aspect of the school’s holistic approach. The kids obviously love the school and often need to be convinced to come home each afternoon.
