Private School Graham Park -
Empowering Agency and
Growth Mindset,
Unleashing Potential

At AcadeCap International School, families from Graham Park can find a focused campus where learners are known closely and expectations are clear. For parents comparing private school graham park options with nearby elementary schools or a public school setting, AcadeCap offers a more personal environment within reach of Ottawa and Gatineau. From kindergarten through high school pathways, our school supports learners with close guidance, structure, and room to grow. Our mission is grounded in academic excellence, responsibility, and a serious commitment to each learner’s development.

Small Class Size

Smaller classrooms give teachers the time to understand how each learner is progressing. Instruction can be adjusted when a concept needs more attention, and challenge can be introduced when a learner is ready. This gives children more room to participate, ask stronger questions, and build confidence through steady effort.

Learning How to Learn

AcadeCap helps learners build habits that make academic progress more sustainable. Reflection, organization, and focused practice shape how they approach their work. Families can discover more through our education approach, which explains how our model supports stronger learning with structure and purpose.

Post Secondary Connection

Our programs follow Ontario curriculum expectations while giving learners depth in core academic areas. As they move from one grade to the next, learners are encouraged to think more clearly about their goals, strengths, and effort. By graduation, graduates should have more than completed courses. They should have the judgment needed to continue academically with maturity.

At AcadeCap, our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to developing a multifaceted approach to each child’s educational journey. If you are looking for a private micro-school in Ottawa where your child can build a solid foundation to reach their full academic potential, we provide a supportive, academically rich environment where students are empowered to thrive.

I will always be grateful for the amazing educational years C. SM. had with your fantastic educational team. Her dedication for higher education, her strive to always do her best, her inquisitive mind and love of learning comes from the strong foundation taught to her by you and your teachers.

As part of our school-wide recognition of Truth and Reconciliation, students across all ages reflected on the history and ongoing impact of residential schools in Canada. Through guided discussions and shared learning, they explored the importance of honouring the children who were taken from their families, the resilience of Indigenous communities, and our collective responsibility to seek truth, healing, and justice.

Inspired by the teachings of butterflies, sunflowers, and hummingbirds, students created artwork representing transformation, remembrance, and resilience. These natural symbols carry both ecological importance and deep Indigenous significance, reminding us to face the past with truth and move forward with hope.

AcadeCap: What Sets Our Private School Serving Graham Park Apart

AcadeCap International School is located in Ottawa and serving families from Graham Park, Gatineau, and nearby communities. Our micro-school environment is established around close teacher guidance, clear expectations, and shared values. We are dedicated to helping each learner grow as a whole person, with attention to academic work and everyday conduct.

Individualized Learning Styles

Each learner brings a different academic profile. Instruction is shaped by readiness, ability, and ongoing observation, so support can change as needs become clearer. Some learners need targeted practice. Others benefit from enriched material or another way into a concept. The goal is thoughtful progress, supported by clear communication with each family.

Competency-Based Curricula

Our curriculum emphasizes mastery and applied understanding. Learners are expected to show what they understand through meaningful work, not completion alone. This supports excellence in core areas and helps learners become more independent in how they study, manage expectations, and ask for help.

Learning Community

Our community is shaped by respect, kindness, and shared responsibility. Learners work alongside peers of different ages, with adults who pay close attention to how each person is growing. Leadership develops through daily choices and the way learners contribute to those around them, preparing young people for society with greater awareness.

Expert Educators

Our educators bring subject knowledge, curriculum familiarity, and a practical understanding of student growth. They support English and French instruction where appropriate and help learners strengthen their use of languages across academic work. Their role is direct: guide progress, reinforce expectations, and build habits that last.

Extended Learning

AcadeCap offers room for focused study, meaningful exploration, and work that connects academic expectations with personal interest. Within a calm micro-school setting, learners have space to slow down, ask better questions, and approach ideas with greater care. Learning may connect with music, outdoor time, or hands-on work that helps students see academic progress as part of a larger life. These experiences are still guided by clear expectations, so enrichment does not feel separate from the work of school. Because our campus is situated within reach of Graham Park, families can access a nearby option shaped around personal attention, academic purpose, and a more thoughtful pace of growth.

Third Teacher Environment

The physical environment affects how learners concentrate and take ownership of their day. A thoughtful building, quiet work areas, and flexible spaces help create a setting where learning feels intentional. The environment supports the mind as much as the routine of the day, giving learners an opportunity to build confidence through focused work.

Families from Graham Park who would like to learn more are welcome to connect with our admissions team. We can explain our programs, answer practical questions, and help you understand whether AcadeCap is the right fit for your child. Please contact us to begin the conversation.

Mme Lucie Lalonde - Founding Director

“We aim to develop academically successful students, who also have the curiosity to question, the rigour to excel, and the courage to act. This courage is born of experience acquired from being challenged, cultivating antifragility and having agency. The AcadeCap student is unlike any other.”
