Private School Centrepointe -
Empowering Agency and
Growth Mindset,
Unleashing Potential

At AcadeCap International School, Centrepointe families have access to a West Ottawa micro-school where students are known closely and expected to take their work seriously. The smaller setting allows teachers to follow progress with care and respond before small academic concerns become larger ones.

Small Class Size

Small class learning gives teachers more time to understand how each student works, where support is needed, and when a child is ready for greater depth. For families comparing private schools, ottawa private schools, and public schools, the value is not only the number of students in the room. It is the amount of meaningful teacher attention available during the school day.

Learning How to Learn

Academic growth depends on habits that become familiar through practice. At AcadeCap, students learn to prepare, use feedback, and stay engaged with their work through an approach to education that gives young learners time to build confidence without rushing through important foundations.

Post Secondary Connection

AcadeCap follows the Ontario curriculum while giving students time to understand their work with more depth. For families considering a private high school Centrepointe option or planning ahead for a Centrepointe high school pathway, this preparation helps students move toward grade 12 with stronger academic habits and more independence.

As part of our school-wide recognition of Truth and Reconciliation, students across all ages reflected on the history and ongoing impact of residential schools in Canada. Through guided discussions and shared learning, they explored the importance of honouring the children who were taken from their families, the resilience of Indigenous communities, and our collective responsibility to seek truth, healing, and justice.

Inspired by the teachings of butterflies, sunflowers, and hummingbirds, students created artwork representing transformation, remembrance, and resilience. These natural symbols carry both ecological importance and deep Indigenous significance, reminding us to face the past with truth and move forward with hope.

AcadeCap: What Sets Our Private School Serving Centrepointe Apart

AcadeCap International School gives Centrepointe families a small Ottawa school offering with a clear academic purpose. For parents comparing private education options, including larger independent models such as Turnbull School, AcadeCap offers a more personal micro-school setting where teachers can follow progress closely and support students day by day.

The school culture is focused, supportive, and connected to how students actually learn. Teachers know each child’s strengths, pace, and next steps, which helps guide academic achievement with more care. Through enriched academics and dynamic learning, students work toward academic excellence, personal excellence, and stronger leadership in the classroom.

Individualized Learning Styles

Each child brings a different learning profile into the classroom. AcadeCap uses differentiated teaching to adjust instruction based on progress, readiness, and development.

This is especially helpful for families exploring private elementary schools Centrepointe options. A smaller educational environment makes it easier to notice learning differences, strengthen language skills, and help students work toward their full academic potential.

Competency-Based Curricula

AcadeCap values understanding that can be applied and built upon. Students are expected to show real comprehension in their work, not simply move through lessons.

The curriculum supports scientific and artistic competencies through focused academics and purposeful classroom practice. Students develop reasoning, creativity, and confidence through work that has substance.

Learning Community

A strong school depends on trust between families and teachers. At AcadeCap, parents receive clear communication about progress, expectations, and next steps.

Student life also supports development. Classroom routines and school events help create a supportive environment where children can participate with more confidence. Families can speak with admissions through the contact page to ask about visits, average tuition, available programs, and the admissions process.

Expert Educators

AcadeCap’s highly qualified teachers bring subject knowledge and a careful understanding of child development. They teach core academics while paying attention to each student’s pace and readiness.

For families comparing bilingual private schools, AcadeCap offers English and French learning in a smaller school setting. Parents looking for a bilingual private school Centrepointe families can access from West Ottawa may ask how bilingual education, french immersion foundations, and advanced French support are handled at each level.

Extended Learning

The AcadeCap campus supports focused study and experiential learning. Students also have opportunities to connect schoolwork with curiosity, creativity, and personal development.

Through extended learning, students can make stronger connections between classroom study and the world around them. This experiential learning rooted in purpose can support social emotional development while keeping academics clear.

Third Teacher Environment

The physical setting affects how students work. Calm classrooms, flexible learning areas, and access to outdoor space help children settle into the school day and stay engaged.

For Centrepointe families comparing independent schools, AcadeCap offers a nurturing environment with structure and close teacher guidance. Our admissions team can answer questions about kindergarten, junior kindergarten readiness, kindergarten to grade pathways, specialized programs, and support for other exceptionalities when those needs apply.

Mme Lucie Lalonde - Founding Director

“We aim to develop academically successful students, who also have the curiosity to question, the rigour to excel, and the courage to act. This courage is born of experience acquired from being challenged, cultivating antifragility and having agency. The AcadeCap student is unlike any other.”
