Beaver Computing Contest
The students of Académie de la Capitale recently competed in the annual Beaver Computing Contest developed by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) of the University of Waterloo. The contest is intended to get students excited about computer science and focuses on computation and logic. Over 15,000 students wrote the Beaver Computing

Figurative Language- Onomatopoeia
Onomatopoeia. It’s a term for a word that represents a sound. Onomatopoeia is used in all types of writing, but they are very evident when seen in comics. Students explored how different comics have utilized onomatopoeia in their stories, then choose their own word to create a piece of art.
