Noon Hour Clubs & Activities

Coding

Secret Programming Club is brought to you by an AcadeCap Parent.

Secret codes have evolved over time, from the first codes carved in stone 4000 years ago, to decode in your head to modern codes that computers process using math.

Coding touches the fields of puzzles, math, computer programming and more. We can do any or all of these each day, and for those who want to go deeper into one of puzzles, math, or computer programming and leave the secret codes behind, we can try to do that too! The direction we go in the club is guided by the interests of those who sign up.

Natural History Club

Under the guidance of our resident biologist, students embark on exciting adventures, exploring and discovering the wonders of our natural surroundings

Outdoor Activities and Sports

Having a large green treed space surround the campus, walking and biking nature trails across the street and a sports field 3-minutes away bolsters noon hour clubs: Ultimate Frisby, Lacrosse, Soccer, Badminton, Nature Photography, and more.

AcadeMUN

AcadeMUN club brings together both seasoned and novice members in an engaging simulation. Our experienced students step up as co-chairs of a special agency committee, while our beginners embrace the roles of national and corporate delegates. Together, they convene to tackle complex issues demonstrating collaboration and critical thinking.

Extended Learning

Learning Never Stops

Outings and Travel

Our outings and travel are educationally based and serve as an experiential extension to the curriculum, more specifically to a unit of study. They are academically oriented with well-planned preparation and follow-up. One of the key benefits of travel is that students develop life skills that they can use in years to come, particularly when they move on to post-secondary education.

à la carte OSSD courses

During the summer, students can take advantage of Académie de la Capitale’s expertise, approach and rigour to obtain the necessary credits towards the OSSD and most importantly to acquire the in-depth concepts, knowledge and skills to keep on learning and to succeed academically at the post-secondary level. Due to our small daytime class sizes, our educators are experienced at one-on-one teaching and differentiated learning. Every student is challenged at his, her or they level, strengthens core concepts, develops core competencies, and masters course content.

Language School

A language school, for children, teens and adults, is being established on campus for summer 2025.

DELF/DALF

The DELF and DALF are six separate diplomas issued by the French Ministry for National Education to certify the French language skills. These diplomas are valid for life.

The Test of English for International Communication is intentionally designed to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment.
