Private School Britannia -
Empowering Agency and
Growth Mindset,
Unleashing Potential
At AcadeCap International School, families in Britannia can access a focused West Ottawa campus where students are known closely and schoolwork is taken seriously. Our micro-school supports children from elementary school through secondary preparation, with small classes, clear expectations, and steady teacher guidance. AcadeCap offers a more personal setting where learners can grow with structure, support, and confidence.
Small Class Size
Small classes give teachers time to understand how children learn. Instruction can be adjusted when a concept needs more attention or when a student is ready for added challenge. This kind of classroom environment helps students participate more fully, ask questions, and receive feedback before academic gaps become harder to address.
Learning How to Learn
Strong learning depends on habits that develop over time. At AcadeCap, students work on organization, reflection, and follow-through so they can approach school with more independence. Families can learn more through our education approach.
Post Secondary Connection
Our curriculum follows Ontario expectations and gives students time to build depth in key academic areas. Coursework is based on mastery, careful instruction, and the kind of planning that prepares learners for future study in Canada. As students move through each grade, they become more aware of how they learn. They begin to manage expectations, ask for support with more confidence, and take greater responsibility for their work.
I will always be grateful for the amazing educational years C. SM. had with your fantastic educational team. Her dedication for higher education, her strive to always do her best, her inquisitive mind and love of learning comes from the strong foundation taught to her by you and your teachers.

There’s no better way to begin the school year than gathering together in the school yard. Each fall, AcadeCap families, students, and teachers come together for our annual Community Corn Roast, welcoming both returning families and those who are new to our school community.
Students help shuck the corn while families and staff gather for a casual meal with delicious sides, conversation, and plenty of opportunities to get to know one another.

- Orange Shirt Day
As part of our school-wide recognition of Truth and Reconciliation, students across all ages reflected on the history and ongoing impact of residential schools in Canada. Through guided discussions and shared learning, they explored the importance of honouring the children who were taken from their families, the resilience of Indigenous communities, and our collective responsibility to seek truth, healing, and justice.
Inspired by the teachings of butterflies, sunflowers, and hummingbirds, students created artwork representing transformation, remembrance, and resilience. These natural symbols carry both ecological importance and deep Indigenous significance, reminding us to face the past with truth and move forward with hope.

AcadeCap: What Sets Our Private School Serving Britannia Apart
AcadeCap International School gives Britannia families access to a small Ottawa learning community with a strong academic purpose. The school is designed for learners who benefit from close guidance, meaningful expectations, and steady relationships with educators.
Daily instruction, classroom routines, and student support all follow the same approach. Children are given space to grow, but they are also expected to take their work seriously. That balance shapes the experience.
Individualized Learning Styles
Every child brings a different learning profile into the classroom, so our teachers adjust instruction based on progress, ability, and development. Across each age and stage, the work can be broken down with care when a student needs more time with a concept. When a learner is ready for greater challenge, lessons can be extended without forcing a sudden jump. This helps students stay engaged, test new ideas, and build confidence in how they learn.
Competency-Based Curricula
Our program emphasizes understanding that students can apply and build on. Progress is measured through meaningful work rather than simple unit completion, giving families a clearer view of growth and academic quality. Students are expected to create work that reflects real comprehension. This approach helps prepare them for more demanding secondary learning with stronger habits and clearer links between effort, mastery, and progress.
Learning Community
A strong school community depends on clear communication between parents, teachers, and students. At AcadeCap, regular updates and shared expectations help families understand how their child is progressing. School events held throughout the year give parents opportunities to attend, talk with educators, and stay connected to classroom life. Families who want to learn more can contact our admissions team or join a school visit.
Expert Educators
Our teachers bring subject knowledge and a careful understanding of how children develop. They support growth in languages (such as English and French), math, science, arts, and other core areas while keeping expectations clear. Instruction can also connect with a student’s interests, including music, dance, creativity, or summer projects when it strengthens learning. This balance helps learners feel supported while still being asked to think, practise, and improve within thoughtful facilities.
Extended Learning
Our Ottawa campus is designed to support focused study and collaborative work through flexible learning spaces. Access to natural surroundings and open outdoor areas contributes to well-being and reinforces active, engaged learning. For families looking for a private school in Carp, Ontario, AcadeCap offers a nearby micro-school environment shaped around personal attention and academic purpose.
Students also have an opportunity to connect learning with their own interests. For some kids, that may include music, skating, time outside, or hands-on projects that make school feel more fun while still keeping the academic work clear.
Third Teacher Environment
The physical environment affects how students work. A calm classroom, access to a library, and room for play all help children settle into learning and stay engaged. For families in Britannia, our Ottawa location offers a nearby micro-school setting where structure and care work together. Families who would like to visit AcadeCap are encouraged to book a school tour. Our admissions team can answer questions about fees, the process, accepted candidates, and upcoming session dates. To reach the school office, please contact our admissions team for next steps.
