Foundations to Purposeful Learning
1998

Laying the Foundations

25 Esquimault Avenue, Nepean ON

Académie de la Capitale began with a bold vision to provide an internationally recognized education for all students, including those with exceptionalities such as giftedness, dyslexia, and/or ASD. The primary aim was to ensure that all learners become exceptional!

Continued Purposeful Learning
2008

New Location, New Look

1010 Morrison Drive, suite 200, Ottawa ON

Embracing our building type and its location, we upgraded the locale’s first floor to be an innovative, highly functional and well-equipped i STEAM Maker Lab. Then, as one reached the second level, you would find the open-concept layout, along with an impressive array of student work, both framed and in progress, covering almost all available wall space. Designed to foster interaction between students of different ages, grades, and abilities, AcadeCap functioned like a creative, cutting-edge work hub with focus and collaborative spaces, rather than the traditional amalgam of distinct classrooms.

Our Campus

A Glimpse into our New Campus

The NCC Heritage Farm House, at 3448 Richmond Road, is our new campus. It is designed to be inviting, stimulating, and capable of provoking curiosity, problem-solving and discovery. It's perfect for our small school!

Our well-equipped facilities, including a STEM Maker Lab, Media and Visual Art Workspace, Music Room and Martial Arts Dojo, surrounded by ample treed green space, biking and hiking nature trails and sports' field, support a wide range of activities and interests, ensuring that each student has the resources to develop competencies for purposeful lifelong learning.

“In recent decades, we have witnessed ever-accelerating global changes, from emerging technologies to sudden geopolitical shifts, all of which require us to rethink how we teach and learn. What we knew yesterday quickly becomes outdated, making the ability to learn and self-teach the most crucial of competencies today.”
