How Does A Seed Become A Plant?

322 0

As part of our new unit of inquiry, we are learning about how food moves through various stages of development from the farm to our tables. This week we are focusing on the process that plants go through from seed to adulthood. We will also be exploring the various ways that different types of plants grow, from root vegetables to vines and trees.
We decided to plant peas and green beans.
We are also fortunate to be participating in the Tomatosphere project this year. We were given two sets of tomato seeds, one set of tomato seeds that have been to SPACE and one that has not! We will grow the seeds and document how each pack grows. We have no idea which seeds are the ones that have been in space. We are so excited to see if there is any differences between how the two packs of seeds grow!
