Some of the Grade 5/6s are part of the Animal Crew, in which they feed and take care of the animals at the school, including a fish. The water in the fish’s tank needed to be conditioned and Mme Christine gave the students a challenge: to figure out how many drops of conditioner to put in the fish tank. In order to do this, the students used their previous knowledge in math as well as their problem solving skills in order to find the volume of the tank, and complete further calculations. They worked well and logically in order to find the answer.
