On January 12th, AcadeCap has invited Kids on the Block to perform their special presentation for our kindergarten to grade 8 students.
The Kids on the Block are a group of almost life-sized puppets, that act, think and feel just like real kids. Each one has likes and dislikes, talents and limitations, hopes and fears. Like real kids, some have physical, mental, medical or emotional differences or disabilities and some do not. Kids on the Block helps children develop an understanding of children with special needs.
They use the Bunraku style of puppetry, which provides information to the students through the performances and an informal question and answer period.
We are looking forward to their fun and informative puppet show!
