Students enjoyed learning how to play the strategic board game, Catan. The students did a great job of using their unit vocabulary when referring to items that are “in demand”, “traded”, “exported”, and “imported.” The game supports the understanding that the medium of exchange, as well as the ever-changing marketplace, can quickly change the direction of the game.
